The Board would like to thank Sophie Linden, Deputy Mayor for Policing and Crime for London and Barnet Borough Commander, Detective Chief Superintendent Simon Rose, who attended as guest speakers. Who responded to a packed chamber and gallery fielding questions from residents and councillors on various topics, including Burglary, Domestic Violence, Police Abstraction and MOPACS crime priorities*. Barnet Boroughwatch were also in attendance and dispensed times, window and personal alarms, and useful advice about personal and property safety.
Roger Kemp, Chair of the Barnet SNB, informed attendees that the board is recruiting. Further details regarding recruitment can be found further down the news feed.
*The Mayor / MOPAC launched the Police and Crime Plan on 20th March which sets out the Mayor's priorities for the next four years. The priorities include tackling violence against women and girls; hate crime and intolerance; keeping children and young people safe; a better police service for London, and a better Criminal Justice Service for London.
